finally, the retentive heavens are opening up and gifts are trickling down. so far i’ve managed to register ‘principles of economics’ (much welcomed), ‘media in america’ (might jus prove to be a surprise) and ‘japanese level 1′ (which i don’t really want, but i’ve got to pick three right?). anyone who wants to trade up, leave a comment with your offerings.

just found out today that there is an appeals’ system in place. be sure to think of good reasons why you should be accepted, or just bullsh*t, u know… send in your appeals via studentlink by 11:59pm tomorrow night. if you manage to get the elective later on (the gifts are still falling, be patient), you can withdraw the appeal for that particular elective.

business aside, i want to share with you guys this song, “romeo+juliet” by a band called dire straits (thanks for sharing sarah!). props and all to dire straits for writing this song but i think the killers’ cover of it, recorded in abbey road, does it more justice. this song has tacky lyrics (bordering on corny) and music in a minor key – just the right ingredients for a classic love song. enjoy!
