light static & the swan thing
i was at bottle tree park at khatib catching up with an old friend after dinner. please don’t take pictures if you really intend on catching up with friends. it is a conversation-killer.

this one above to set the context.
now add the 2 pictures below…

… and you will get:

can you spot the swan? hint: it’s in the middle.
what about this one? no hint.

and this one below?

that’s all. good night now.

Gah, Chang. Been stalking your website and flickr like a crazy. I have just gotten a ‘pro-sumer’ thingamajig and the manual functions are killing me. Yes, I studied up the user manual already. I think I should e-mail you for tips & tricks for a beginner at photography. The thing is, I don’t even know how to begin asking, dies.

hey there jinhe, thanks for reading and looking at my stuff.
which camera did you get?
i think i am going to recommend you a couple of photography books to get you started. these helped me so much when i was starting out too. you can find them at the national library or buy them off good bookstores if you want.
1. “understanding exposure” by bryan peterson.
2. anything photography-related by scott kelby.
yeah, and you can always just ask me if you can’t figure something out. good thing you got a cam now. make sure you get plenty of awesome photos when you are in japan!
